Why is being LOLER compliant important?

Put simply large fines or imprisonment is the possible result of flouting the rules, aside from the obvious worst case scenario situations resulting in serious injury or death of workers.

Even now many who have a responsibility to ensure all lifting equipment and accessories are fit for purpose are unaware that as the operator of such equipment they must ensure routine inspections are carried out every six months as a minimum, with more regular inspections depending on environment and usage.

At TAG-Online.co.uk we have started to create a way to make sure your first six months are taken care of automatically with our Auto Locking Tipping Skips. We contact you five months after the delivery date in order to book in one of our engineers to attend, test and either sign the unit off as safe or advise repairs or replacements as appropriate. We then put this into our system to do the same at regular intervals agreed with you. We are looking at extending this offer of the free first inspection to other products and we will update you as we do this.
